Kelly Chou is a sustainable design educator with a background in green chemistry and bioplastics research. At Schoolab, she develops and leads open innovation programs such as "Deplastify the Planet," utilizing her expertise in chemistry, entrepreneurship, and design methodologies to guide students in exploring new perspectives and strategies on the plastic problem.
Kelly received her B.S. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley, where she also founded the first green chemistry course for undergraduates. Passionate about understanding humans' reliance and relationship with material goods, Kelly is committed to education and design as a path to promote the cultural transition toward sustainability.
